About Elizabeth House Social Centre
Elizabeth House Social Centre is a charity providing services for children and adults with learning disabilities and mental health issues.
A relaxed and friendly environment for people to gain confidence and independence with a range of social and leisure activities for everyone to enjoy. The centre aims to offer the right environment needed in order to lead a more independent life, where individuals have the opportunity for choice, creativity and responsibility. The centre has great success in nurturing different abilities in order to build confidence and self-esteem.
They encourage people to pursue their social and leisure interests not only in the day centre but within the wider community. This is done by collaborating with other services within the community, such as the local theatre and Wiltshire Creative, as well as others.
People are encouraged to take on responsibility if they so desire, the centre will spend time with individuals to find out their hopes and aspirations.
The staff work at all times in a person-centred way to ensure all clients needs are met and allowing them a voice. The aim is to help people overcome social isolation.
