  • Do you enjoy a volunteer role that's physical, sometimes challenging, but always rewarding?
  • Are you someone who likes a sense of achievement at the end of the day?
  • Would you like the opportunity to meet our customers and donors in the local area, with no two days the same?
  • Does the idea of a role that keeps you fit, active, and social?
  • Then this is the role for you!

Join us at Shaw Trust Salisbury as a Volunteer Van Driver's Assistant and help us raise vital funds to support communities across the UK.

As a Volunteer Van Driver's Assistant, you will be the friendly face of our logistics team, making donors, customers and supporters feel appreciated for supporting the charity.

You’ll be assisting our logistics team with deliveries, collections, shop transfers, and other duties that support the team.

Our friendly logistics and shop team will give you all the training and support you need to make you feel comfortable and confident here. We believe that everyone has something to offer, even if you have no experience.

What’s in it for you

Volunteering is a great way to make a real difference and build your skills. As well supporting Shaw Trust, you’ll be staying active and social, will grow your confidence and meet new people.

Most of the time, we cover some lunch and travel expenses. We’ll always be as flexible as possible around your education, family, work, and health commitments.

What we’re asking for

The main thing we are looking for is that you are happy to work with a team and have a helpful attitude. The ability to offer around 4 hours of help a week would be preferable, though we can be flexible. Volunteers in our logistics team must be aged 18 and over.

If you have any questions, just ask!
