eBay Charity Retail Volunteer
Join us at Shaw Trust as an eBay Charity Retail Assistant and help us raise vital funds to support communities across the UK. As a not-for-profit charity, all our proceeds go to helping people around the UK.
The eBay Charity Retail Volunteer will be responsible for managing the eBay store for our charity, including listing items, handling inquiries, and ensuring a positive customer experience. This role is crucial for generating revenue for our charitable initiatives through online sales.
Key volunteering responsibilities:
· Photograph and list items for sale on eBay, ensuring accurate descriptions and high-quality images.
· Research pricing for items to ensure competitiveness while maximising revenue.
· Monitor eBay listings, responding to buyer inquiries promptly.
· Manage the posting process for sold items, ensuring timely delivery and proper packaging.
· Maintain inventory records and track sales performance to help identify successful product categories.
· Collaborate with the charity team to source items for sale, including donations.
· Promote the eBay store through social media and community outreach to increase visibility.
· Support other volunteers on the online project
Knowledge:
· Good understanding of eBay and online retail practices.
· Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
· Attention to detail, especially in item descriptions and photography.
· Ability to work independently.
· Passion for the charity’s mission and a desire to support the cause.
Time Commitment:
· Estimated 8-10 hours per week, over a minimum of 2 days, flexible hours based on availability and shop activity. (Monday – Friday)
Training
· Willingness to carry out mandatory and regulatory training
