Fresh off the back of success in 2021, SHIFT returns in 2022 to continue to provide a platform for young voices through the arts. This year as part of Salisbury International Arts Festival, SHIFT presents Kitchen Island Conversations, a brand-new event discussing all our futures.
The climate crisis and its relationship to the arts will be central to Kitchen Island Conversations. A variety of artists and activists both from the local area and further afield will join panelled discussions, all hosted around our portable kitchen island. Working with our Young Ambassadors, we’ve found our way to the questions and topics young people want discussed.
Throughout the day workshops will be run by artists in response to the conversations that take place. The session specific workshops will on a first-come-first-served basis, and the drop-in workshops will be running throughout the day. At the core these workshops will look at the environment, sustainability and our futures.
