At Wiltshire Treehouse we support children & young people who have been affected by the death of someone important to them.
Wiltshire Treehouse offers advice, support and creative programmes that support the social and emotional well-being of bereaved children and young people. We offer a relaxed, safe and inclusive environment in which people can explore and grow to understand their grief.
At Wiltshire Treehouse children can meet others, share stories, make a connection and help each other.
We can support children who:
- are aged 0-18yrs (up to 25yrs with special educational needs or disabilities)
- have been affected by a bereavement
- live in (or attend an educational setting within) Swindon or Wiltshire
We can provide:
- Telephone advice and support to parents/carers, helping adults to understand their child and how to best support them.
- Specialist group work programmes. These are free to families with the cost covered by our fundraising.
- One to one support. There is a fee for this service.
- Advice and training for professionals, helping schools and other organisations to support the bereaved children they work with.
- Referrals for more specialised help.
