Chippenham Link Transport is a volunteer transport service that offers door to door transport for local people who are unable to access public or private transport. We ask for donations from clients towards the cost of operating our service.

Volunteer Link Coordinators are responsible for answering calls from clients and liaising with our team of Volunteer Drivers. Link Coordinators may need to prioritise requests for help with transport, depending on volunteer numbers.
You will work as part of a team, taking on the role for a day or more each week. On a typical day, you will take calls from around 20 people looking to book transport to get to an appointment, liaise with fellow volunteers to find a driver for booked jobs and call people to remind them of the booking they have made for the following day.
You will have basic computer skills, an excellent telephone manner and have empathy towards older and disadvantaged people looking for help getting to their appoinments. You will be comfortable organising things to fit the jobs into the schedule of our volunteer drivers.
