Silver Salisbury is a small local charity, based in Salisbury that aims to alleviate loneliness and isolation amongst older people in Salisbury, Wilton, Amesbury, Downton and the surrounding villages. We're registered with the Charity Commission (number 1198019), have an annual turnover of £30/35K and grow a little each year. You can get more of an insight into what we do here: Silver Salisbury Website.
After many years with us we are sad to be saying goodbye to our current Treasurer, Alan Mitchell, who's moved out of the area. His departure means that we’re looking for a new treasurer to join our friendly board of 6 trustees.
This important unpaid role will provide a strategic overview of our finances, ensure financial transactions follow appropriate policies and procedures, oversee the work of a paid bookkeeper and report on our finances to the trustees and the Charity Commission.
We are lucky to have a small friendly team and a fantastic group of volunteers. There are plenty of opportunities to get involved in our activities, should you wish. If you would like to come and meet us please get in touch. We'd love to hear from you.
