Can you help families in your area?

Home-Start helps families with children under five who are experiencing tough times. Volunteers visit families weekly to help them cope with challenges such as: isolation, low mood, financial worries, or twins. Support is tailored to need. It could be accompanying a parent to a playgroup or playing with a child whose parent is too ill. Often, just listening makes all the difference.

We’re looking for volunteers with:

• A friendly, positive nature
• Great listening skills and empathy
• Parenting skills/relevant life experience
• Time to visit families weekly for 2-3 hours

We offer professional training, mentoring & personal development. Expenses paid.

Group Volunteers, Trustees and Volunteer Fundraiser roles also available.
