At The Advocacy People we provide high quality, confidential, independent advocacy services, supporting clients in having a voice in the way they are cared for, the services they receive and decisions that are made about their lives.
Our Advocates work with clients to express their views, wishes and feelings, helping those who are particularly vulnerable and/or excluded to deal with issues which are important to them, ensuring they have a say in the services they receive.
In Wiltshire we currently have a number of exciting volunteer advocate opportunities including:
- Independent Advocacy - supporting people to express their views and feel that they are being listened to
- Carers Advocacy – supporting unpaid Carers
- Mental Health Advocacy – supporting people with Mental Health issues both in Hospital and in the Community
- General Advocacy for vulnerable adults
We are looking for people that share our passion in making a difference in vulnerable peoples’ lives and who can commit to a minimum of 8 hours a week.
