Wellness+ Belonging is an evening of online taster workshops and discussions, hosted by Alabaré in celebration of Global Wellness Day on Saturday 12th June 2021.
The last year has been challenging for us all. At times it has been necessary to dig really deep to have both the emotional and mental resilience to overcome the challenges that the pandemic has forced us to face. Undoubtedly, each challenge has been innately personal, but the need has been very much shared.
As we look forward to moving beyond the pandemic, Alabaré in partnership with the Riverside Sanctuary is holding a Wellness + Belonging event for anyone wishing to take part in discussions and practical workshops that will help sustain us and others.
Join us for an evening of positivity that will help us as individuals cope with setbacks, build positive routines, develop body confidence and overall, build emotional flexibility and mental strength. Each workshop session is led by a professional specialist in their area and includes a yoga session, art therapy, wild cooking, mindset coaching, a sleep clinic, meditations and personal care activities.
You are invited to join us for the whole evening, which takes place on the evening of Saturday 12th of June when you can dip in or out at any time. We will also hear from Jacob Beale at Riverside Sanctuary who will explain more about Riverside's work in association with Alabaré.
Boosting levels of health and wellness will help you overcome life’s daily obstacles. Health focuses on an individual’s physical and mental makeup being free from disease, disability, or affliction. Wellness is more than being free from disease, it is the spirited process of change and growth that lasts a lifetime.
We have deliberately kept ticket prices low to make it easier for people to join in, although we offer several purchase opportunities. These include a goody bag ticket, (this will be delivered to your home ahead of the event) and an option to “pay it forward” so that you may purchase a ticket for a loved one or donate this back so that it can be offered to an Alabaré service user who has personal experience of overcoming homelessness or mental health challenges.
