We are seeking a passionate, enthusiastic, and organised person to join our dynamic team as a Youth Partnership Development Manager on a 2-year fixed term contract.

In this role, you will co-ordinate and convene the Wiltshire and Swindon Youth Work Network (WSYWN) and the Wiltshire Youth Partnership (WYP), and lead the development and delivery of WCF’s new Youth Capacity Building, Training and Support grants programme.

If you have:

  • Significant experience working with and supporting the development of voluntary sector organisations, networks and partnerships.
  • Understanding of/experience of working with or within the local youth voluntary sector and/or youth work in a range of settings.
  • Experience of project and programme development, ideally including experience of grant-making.

This is a 22.5 hour a week position, based in our offices in central Devizes, Wiltshire. During your probation period (6 months) we would expect you to be in the office for a minimum of 2 days a week. Once probation has been completed we are open to considering additional days working from home if desired.

Reporting to the Director of Partnerships, your key responsibilities could include:

  • Championing for youth work in Wiltshire and Swindon
  • Developing and delivering WSYWN meetings, including an annual face-to-face event, enabling connectivity, peer learning and sharing
  • Leading the development of a partnership theory of change, refreshing the partnership’s governance to improve local partnership representation and accountability, updating the Partnership Terms of Reference and Action Plan and identifying options for the long-term future of the WSYWN and WYP
  • Working collaboratively with the WYP and WCF’s Grants Team to design and plan the grants programme and ensure grant-making is developed in line with WCF’s grants processes
  • Exploring potential for involving young people in the grants process
  • Assessing, and where required, making recommendations for changes/improvements to future rounds of the grants programme, including reports for WCF’s Programme Delivery Committee (PDC) for consideration and approval Monitor funded projects and evaluating overall impact of the programme and provide impact reporting
