About
Creating comfortable homes at affordable prices for households on low income
WNWN is a ‘not for profit’ registered charity with three staff and a team of volunteers that together meet the needs of:
• Those struggling financially that need to acquire, or replace furniture, white goods and other household items at affordable prices thus avoiding the temptation to take on expensive debt.
• Fresh Start clients moving into empty properties after suffering extreme circumstances such as having fled domestic abuse, been previously homeless or are refugees from war torn countries. These clients are provided with the essential household items free of charge, that turn an empty property into a home in which they can start to rebuild their lives. Funding is raised by WNWN specifically to finance the furniture and household goods provided.
• People in the local community requiring opportunities for work experience, training and for some, to avoid a feeling of isolation. For those volunteers wishing to move on to paid employment assistance is offered with constructing CV’s and providing job interview preparation. WNWN is happy to take on volunteers with additional needs that other organisations do not feel comfortable supporting.
• The environment by diverting usable goods away from the waste stream.
