Do you need more confidence when faced with a difficult situation or conversation? If so, this free short course is for you. Learn the skills and techniques required to manage difficult situations effectively and how to get good results from difficult conversations.
This FREE session is being offered in partnership with WEA.
This course will enable participants to identify different types of behaviour and allow the opportunity to practice assertiveness in difficult situations or during difficult conversations.
By the end of the course I should be able to:
- Identify strategies for managing difficult situations and conversations.
- Recognise the characteristics of passive, aggressive and passive aggressive behaviour.
- Identify a range of causes of difficult situations.
How will I be taught?
The class will be delivered via Zoom. The WEA tutor will use a range of different teaching and learning methods and encourage you and the group to be actively involved in your learning
All materials will be provided
There will be the opportunity to access a range of further material on the WEA digital learning platform after the course.
What else do I need to know?

This course is being delivered by WEA and as a result all learners will need to enrol with WEA. Details of the enrolment process will be e-mailed to you prior to the course starting and you will need to enrol with the WEA, either online or via telephone. Once enrolled you will receive instruction on how to join the course.
To be able to run this course at no cost to you, we need a minimum of 6 learners to enrol. If insufficient numbers sign up the course will be cancelled 10 days prior to the course date. If you cancel your place after this time you will be charged a £10.00 administration fee.
The WEA’s digital learning platform, Canvas will be used to provide resources or to support lessons, enable assessment, provide learner feedback and for other activities for individuals away from the course.
