Our groups help people rebuild their lives after abuse. Our volunteers help the Lead Facilitor to organise and run the course. This is one of our client facing roles and will require volunteers to be confident in talking to service users and have a good level of IT skills. This role requires a minimum time commitment of half a day per week.
Main tasks breakdown:
- Prepare our participants for their online course by telephone email and Teams making sure they are confident with the tech and all their individual access needs are met.
- Work closely with your Fearfree Lead facilitator to ensure weekly sessions are prepared and ready for delivery.
- Co-present the course online for 2 hours a week for 6 weeks – this may be in an evening and would need a time commitments of a minimum of 4 hours a week (1 hour prep with Lead, 2 hour to deliver the course and 1 hour to record notes and follow up).
- Observe our participants to make sure they are safe and able to contribute fully to the course and the recovery process.
- Record observation notes and follow-up with Fearfree staff if participants require additional support.
