Join Beyond Dementia on Sunday 19th September for their beautiful South Wiltshire memory walk
There are two different walks to choose from
The five-mile circular sponsored walk will take place within the beautiful grounds of Wilton House near Salisbury.
And our accessible one mile walk around the beautiful gardens with a wildlife trail to follow for little (or big) explorers.
All ages are welcome! Why not get friends, family and colleagues to sign up as a team? The more walkers who take part, the more essential support we can provide to the families that need us.
Registration is just £15 for adults, £10 for children aged 11 to 16, £5 for children aged 5 - 10 and under 5 walk free.
On the day
Before the walk you can enjoy a bacon or veggie butty then meet by the Gothic door at the east front of the house and, after a fun group warm-up, we'll stride out across into parkland. The five and a half mile walk is fully within the estate and will be marshalled so you won't lose your way.
There is also a one-mile route for those that prefer a gentler challenge with a wildlife trail for little explorers. Just choose your route when you sign up.
Post-walk celebrations include music, plenty of tea and cake and chance to relax with other walkers - completing a memorable day.
What you will receive
On the day, you’ll receive a well-deserved Finisher's Medal, as well as lots of support and encouragement. Nothing beats the feeling of coming together to do something good for a common purpose! Our friendly team is here to back you up at every stage of your fundraising from the moment you register - just ask if you don't know where to start.
As well as being a great day out, the walk is a major fundraiser for our charity. There is no minimum sponsorship amount but it's always good to have a target to aim for. Just imagine, £36 pays for someone to enjoy a day out in one of our much-loved day clubs in Wiltshire - so you'll be part of something amazing and every penny you raise will make a difference.
