Do you struggle to manage challenging behaviour in adults in your personal or professional life? If the answer is yes, this free short course is for you. You will understand better the possible causes of challenging behaviour and learn strategies and techniques on how to manage it more effectively.

This FREE session is being offered in partnership with WEA.

This free short course will enable participants to manage and respond to challenging behaviour in adults effectively.

By the end of the course I should be able to:

  • Define what is acceptable and unacceptable behaviour in a range of situations.
  • Explain possible causes of challenging behaviour.
  • Implement strategies and techniques to prevent and deal with challenging behaviour.

How will I be taught?

The class will be delivered via Zoom. The WEA tutor will use a range of different teaching and learning methods and encourage you and the group to be actively involved in your learning

All materials will be provided

There will be the opportunity to access a range of further material on the WEA digital learning platform after the course.

What else do I need to know?

You will need an internet connection, speakers, a microphone and a webcam so that you can use our video learning platform, Zoom. If you’d like to understand more Zoom please visit: http://bit.ly/ZoomSpec

This course is being delivered by WEA and as a result all learners will need to enrol with WEA. Details of the enrolment process will be e-mailed to you prior to the course starting and you will need to enrol with the WEA, either online or via telephone. Once enrolled you will receive instruction on how to join the course.

To be able to run this course at no cost to you, we need a minimum of 6 learners to enrol. If insufficient numbers sign up the course will be cancelled 10 days prior to the course date. If you cancel your place after this time you will be charged a £10.00 administration fee.

The WEA’s digital learning platform, Canvas will be used to provide resources or to support lessons, enable assessment, provide learner feedback and for other activities for individuals away from the course.
