About this event
Children and young people rely on the adults in their lives to keep them safe from harm, in whatever form that may take.
This unaccredited awareness course supports learners to develop knowledge about how children can be vulnerable to harm, abuse or exploitation, and to understand their role in keeping them safe.
You will learn the signs and symptoms of types of abuse, how to react if someone discloses abuse to you, and the actions to take in the event that you suspect there are safeguarding issues including recording and reporting.
Learning also covers topics important to ensuring protection of older children such as grooming, social media and radicalisation, and the actions you should take to minimise the risk of allegations being made against you.
