If you are an aspiring trainer or currently work as a trainer and would like to develop your skills & knowledge then this course is for you.
This short one day course is an introduction to developing and delivering training and being an effective trainer of trainers. If you are an aspiring trainer or currently work as a trainer and would like to develop your skills and knowledge then this course is for you. It is ideal for those who train others who are also trainers. Participants will develop their knowledge and skills they need to train trainers in a variety of contexts.
This course is being run in partnership with WEA.
The cost to attend is £20, however depending on your personal circumstances you may be eligible for a free place.
By the end of the course I should be able to:
- Understand the fundamentals of becoming a trainer.
- Identify key aspects of designing and delivering training
- Identify the key skills needed for one to one and group training sessions
How will I be taught?
The class will be delivered via Zoom. The WEA tutor will use a range of different teaching and learning methods and encourage you and the group to be actively involved in your learning.
All materials will be provided.
There will be the opportunity to access a range of further material on the WEA digital learning platform after the course.
What else do I need to know?

This course is being delivered by WEA and as a result all learners will need to enrol with WEA. Details of the enrolment process will be e-mailed to you prior to the course starting and you will need to enrol with the WEA, either online or via telephone. Once enrolled you will receive instruction on how to join the course.
To be able to run this course at an affordable cost to you, we need a minimum of 6 learners to enrol. If insufficient numbers sign up the course will be cancelled 10 days prior to the course date. If you cancel your place after this time we will not be able to refund you.
The WEA’s digital learning platform, Canvas will be used to provide resources or to support lessons, enable assessment, provide learner feedback and for other activities for individuals away from the course.
