Staff and volunteers are the backbone of the voluntary and community sector. Their passion, dedication and energy supports and cares for our communities, particularly those that have nowhere else to turn.
We are hearing how the pressure from rising demand, increasingly from people with multiple and complex challenges increases with the rising cost of living is impacting staff and volunteers recruitment, retention and health and wellbeing.
This voluntary and community sector forum aims to explore what we can do to support our most valuable resource during this difficult time. Sharing examples, experiences and ideas of what can be done to support our staff and volunteers, particularly if pay increases are not possible.
We will be joined by Ross Foster-Manning, Project Leader at the Salisbury Trust for the Homeless, who will share the process and learning from the recent exercise undertaken by the Trust to support staff and volunteers.
Dan Jenkins, Access2HR, will provide his professional experience, outlining considerations to ensure actions are compliant, as well as sharing other ideas that could be implemented.
There will be the opportunity to ask questions and share experiences to develop the collective knowledge of the sector in Wiltshire.
We will also ensure there is time to connect and network with others attending to share information about the activities, services and support your organisation offers local communities.
