Drug and alcohol use can have a significant impact on individuals, families, friends and the communities we live in. Providing high quality specialist services that are easily accessed by the people who need it is vital in reducing the health and social impacts of drug and alcohol use.
Connect – Young People’s Substance Use Service
We provide advice, guidance and one-to-one sessions for young people and young adults who are having problems with drugs and/or alcohol. The service is free and confidential, and we aim to provide a flexible and non-judgemental space for young people to be open about the problems they are facing.
Turning point
Connect Wiltshire is a free drug and alcohol service led by Turning Point in partnership with Developing Health & Independence (DHI), Julian House and The Nelson Trust.
We believe that everybody has the capacity for change. Our team of specialist are skilled in supporting people to decide the changes they want to make.
Help for Families of Addicts in Wiltshire - Families Out Loud
Addiction devastates lives and families. If someone you care about is abusing drugs or alcohol, your life is affected at every level. Negative feelings and emotions often make normal daily life seem difficult. Other people don’t always understand, which can be isolating.
People often tell us that they feel stressed, guilty, ashamed and hopeless.
Help for problems with gambling
You can go to a specialist gambling treatment clinic in England.
They have a team of psychiatrists and psychologists who can:
- treat you if gambling is causing you problems
- support you with your recovery
- provide therapy for any complex health needs you have related to gambling
- support your family or friends if they need help
